Terms and conditions

The following are the conditions of use of the studios at Pyrmont Studio and form part of the contract between the client and Pyrmont Studio. By confirming a booking, the client agrees to the following.

Bookings & Payments

  • All bookings must be paid in full to secure the studio.

  • Pyrmont Studio does not hold dates without full payment.

  • All prices are in AUD and inclusive of GST unless stated otherwise.

  • Pyrmont Studio reserves the right to refuse access if payment has not been received in full.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

Due to high demand for studio space:

  • Cancellations made 7+ days prior to booking may be rescheduled without penalty.

  • Cancellations made within 7 days of booking forfeit 50% of the hire fee.

  • Cancellations made within 72 hours of booking forfeit 100% of the hire fee.

  • No-shows forfeit 100% of the hire fee.

Any approved reschedule must occur within 60 days of the original booking date.

Studio Access & Hire Times

  • Hire time includes bump in, bump out and technical checks.

  • Access to the studio is strictly within the booked time period.

  • Overtime is charged at $250 inc. GST per hour (or part thereof).

  • Pyrmont Studio staff may enter the studio during the hire for operational, safety, or technical reasons.

Clients must vacate the studio by the end of their booked time unless prior arrangements have been made.

Equipment & Technical Use

Any accessible studio equipment, cabling, power boards, or technical accessories made available during your booking may be used as required.

All items must be handled with care and returned to their original location at the conclusion of the hire.

Clients must not:

  • Adjust studio technical configurations

  • Remove, unplug or relocate fixed or permanently installed equipment

  • Disconnect cameras, lighting or audio systems without staff approval

All technical equipment remains the property of Pyrmont Studio and must be treated responsibly.

Any damage to equipment, cabling, or studio infrastructure will be charged at repair or replacement cost.

Failure to return shared equipment to its original location may incur a reset fee.

Furniture & Props

All studio furniture and props may be used during your booking unless otherwise advised.

Furniture and props must be returned to their original position and condition prior to vacating the studio.

Pyrmont Studio does not guarantee the availability of specific furniture or props for future bookings.

Storage of client-owned items must be arranged in advance and may incur additional fees.

Failure to return the studio to its original condition may result in additional reset or labour charges.

Any client furniture, props, or equipment left on the premises without prior arrangement may be removed at Pyrmont Studio’s discretion. Pyrmont Studio reserves the right to dispose of, store, or take ownership of such items if they are left without an agreed storage plan.

Cleaning, Damage & Maintenance

Clients are responsible for the condition of the studio during their booking.

  • Required Excess cleaning will incur additional charges.

  • Damage to walls, floors, furniture, or equipment will be charged at repair or replacement cost.

  • If the Studio 1 cyclorama requires unusual repainting due to client use, a $150 + GST repaint fee will apply.

Pyrmont Studio reserves the right to charge the card on file for damage, repairs, repainting, or additional cleaning.

Parking

  • Onsite parking can be arranged for $35 per spot (please let us know in advance ).

  • Private garage access is at 100 Bulwara Road, Pyrmont.

  • There is also plenty of 2P Street Parking is available nearby.

Liability & Insurance

  • Pyrmont Studio accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to client property

  • Clients leave equipment and personal items at their own risk

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring their insurance covers their equipment and personnel while using the studio.

To the extent permitted by law, Pyrmont Studio is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, delay or interruption arising from use of the studio.

The client indemnifies Pyrmont Studio against any claims, damages or liabilities arising from their use of the premises.

Content Responsibility

Clients are solely responsible for:

  • The content they record or produce

  • Obtaining necessary permissions, releases and licenses

  • Ensuring no copyright, trademark or defamation laws are breached

Pyrmont Studio accepts no liability for content created during studio hire

Prohibited Use

The studio must not be used for:

  • Illegal activities

  • Hazardous materials or open flames

  • Smoking or vaping indoors

  • Excessive noise beyond permitted levels

  • Any activity that may damage the premises or equipment

Pyrmont Studio reserves the right to terminate a booking immediately if these conditions are breached

Force Majeure

Pyrmont Studio is not liable for failure to perform services due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to power outages, natural disasters, government restrictions, or technical failure.

In such cases, bookings can be rescheduled at Pyrmont Studio’s discretion.

Studio-Specific Conditions

Studio 1: Cyclorama

  • Full day hire is based on a 10-hour day (8am–6pm).

  • Half day hire is based on 5 hours (8am–1pm or 1pm–6pm).

  • One on-site parking space is included

  • Additional on-site parking is $35 inc. GST per space per day.

Additional time beyond the booked session will be charged at $150 inc. GST per hour (or part thereof)

Studio 2: Podcast Studio

  • Bookings are available in 1, 2, 3 or 4 hour blocks

  • On-site parking is $35 inc. GST per space per day
